Our Apprenticeship program
The Plumbing Apprenticeship program allows eligible high school graduates and adult learners to earn while you learn in the classroom and on the job. The program is a collaborative effort of Blue Ridge Community College, Henderson County Public Schools, Transylvania County Public Schools, Homeschool Association, and T.P. Howard’s Plumbing Company, Inc. working together to support the workforce of today and tomorrow.
The Plumbing Apprenticeship Program is a registered North Carolina Apprenticeship with the N.C. Department of Labor.

Safety Manager
Safety Manager
General Responsibilities
Supervise employee activities Inspect company equipment and job sites to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Conduct incident investigations and make sure records are properly filed Assist in tracking and analyzing near miss incidents and identify strategies to prevent future incidents. Develop and conduct employee training to educate and promote company health, safety plans and safe practices. Assist in development of health / safety plan and policies that manage programs and ensure safe working conditions. Foster a culture of safety throughout organization and promote company’s safety values to construction partners. Participate in the employee safety committee. Assist with safe project work plans prior to mobilization. Participate in project / company meetings Analyze leading indicators to drive future safety activities Work with state safety officials and insurance safety representatives Supervise site safety representatives when required. Other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
• 5+ years relative field experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred
• Must be an effective communicator
• OSHA 30 in Construction Preferred
• OSHA 10 in Construction Required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to comply with TP Howard’s Plumbing Inc. Fleet Program
• Valid CPR / First-Aid Certification

Accounting and Office Assistant
Accounting and Office Assistant
Duties and responsivities include:
· Assist with invoicing and accounts receivable process.
– Review job and service tickets for accuracy and completeness.
– Invoice appropriately based on completed work.
– Match and post customer receipt to invoices.
– Process customer payments.
– Prepare and make bank deposits.
– Review and report on customer accounts. Collect outstanding receivables in a timely and professional manner.
· Assist with accounts payable process.
– Process vender bills in a timely manner.
– Process and complete appropriate coding for payments owed to venders. Problem solving and resolving incomplete information with various team members and vendors.
· Assist with payroll processing.
– Collect, review and process labor and materials tickets daily for payroll and job costing.
– Work with various team members to gather correct information in a timely manner.
· Organization and document retention.
– Ensure documentation is organized and filed appropriately.
· Perform other duties and task as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:

· Familiarity with Accounting and ERP systems (preferrable Sage)

Education and Experience Requirements:
· 1-3 years of general accounting experience
· 1-3 years of experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
· Experience with SAP or similar ERP software suite
